* What You Will Do:

** The
** Vendor Assist & Logistics Manager
** will support and manage shop assist suppliers. The Vendor Assist & Logistics Manager will apply problem-solving expertise and build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups;
Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share and multiple suppliers.

The Vendor Assist & Logistics Manager, will ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts to production while meeting specific quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. The Vendor Assist & Logistics Manager  will be the main point of contact for the shop assist suppliers you manage, and will coordinate and lead actions pertaining to business continuity and improvement.
* Responsible for logistics of the packing, shipping, and receiving team
* Supplier relationships: delivery and quality performance, business reviews, underperforming supplier reviews, customer satisfaction
* Project Management:
Lead supplier qualification efforts for multiple process nodes, stakeholder and supplier reviews
* Delivery assurance: ownership of delivery commitment and execution, output support, risk mitigation, driving recovery plans with communication to internal customers, owning the recovery through Line of Balance (LOB) improvements
* Planning: daily interactions with site materials management team and planner for each value assist operation to ensure material flow and setting priorities at the supplier
* Up to 50% travel to supplier sites
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations, supply chain, materials management, quality or related environment OR a Master's degree and 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations, supply chain, materials management, quality or related environment
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
* Working knowledge of SAP
** Qualifications We Prefer:
*** Experience managing multiple projects
* Delivery assurance and risk mitigation experience
* CORE experience and analytical/metrics driven approach
