The purpose of this position is to be able to perform the job duties listed below. TRAINING FOR THIS SHIFT MAY BE ON A DIFFERENT SHIFT FOR UP TO ONE MONTH.

• Fabricates doors and frames for vinyl extrusions using hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, saws, vertical welders, corner cleaners, double miter saws, etc., as well as milling machines.
• Identifies and tags material with a written symbol for assembly and inspection.
• Comprehends and completes fabrication on a sequence of operations.
• Fit and assemble components.
• Performs all general production work as required.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Ability to pass color blindness test
• Experience in warehousing or shipping environment preferred
• Use of hand held scanner a plus
• Experience using computers.
• Be vigilant about safety
• Quality – conscious, oriented to excellence

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and controls, as well as reach with hands and arms. The role may require occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Effective communication skills are required, including the ability to talk and hear, and specific vision abilities such as close vision and color acuity are necessary.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. An individual is required to wear appropriate safety protective equipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as required by safety program rules. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, an individual is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
