CNC Machinist - Veteran Wanted

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure the equipment is in good working condition.
- Load raw materials into the machine and secure them properly for the machining process.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet required quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the machining process.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize CNC programs and improve machining processes.
- Keep accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, scrap rates, and machine maintenance logs.
- Military veteran with previous experience as a CNC Machinist.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in CNC machining are preferred.
- Proven experience operating CNC machines, including setup and programming.
- Knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with various types of CNC machines, such as lathes, mills, and routers.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain precision in machining operations.
- Proficient in using measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting production deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- A commitment to safety in the workplace and adherence to all safety regulations.
