Key responsibilities

• New Cold is an automated Cold Storage facility and rated top five in the industry. We are currently looking for experienced Stand-up Forklift Operators for New Cold. Our Forklift Operators ensure customer product orders are stacked, wrapped, tagged, loaded/unloaded, and shipped, while meeting customer and New Cold Quality and Safety standards.
• Currently hiring for our B shift (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 4am).

Job Duties

• Ensure the work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and act immediately.
• Prior to operation, complete forklift/equipment inspection checklist.
• Operate Stand-up Forklift equipped with forks, push pull (Slip), or clamper, to move customer products.
• Operate with assigned forklift loading and unloading customer product in a timely manner, maintaining dock flow throughout assigned shift.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Software (WMS) loading/unloading software to correctly annotate completed work.
• Sort, stack, wrap, and ensure products are labeled properly per customer standards.
• Remove and replace or charge Forklift batteries as needed.
• Accurately and coherently document additional value-added work for invoicing.
• Complete all necessary paperwork in an accurate & timely manner.
• Operate in a team atmosphere, take direction, and adopt approved work methods.
• Perform all work in compliance with all Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Stand-up Forklift experience.
• Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program while demonstrating safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.

Physical Requirements

• Able to work in the
  -5 degrees temperatures throughout assigned shift.
• Able to repeatedly lift customer products weighing up to 50 lbs. each. Safely manipulating product from overhead and floor level and placing on pallet at floor level and overhead.
• Able to repeatedly hand-wrap pallets using provided tools moving from floor level to overhead.
• Ability to work multiple shifts from 8-12 hours, sometimes standing for several hours at a time.
• Ability to maintain focus and situational awareness.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
