Job Purpose
The Training Coordinator will work closely with the Plant Manager, Unit Managers, Supervisors, and other members of the leadership team to prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate, and document training activities.
Duties and Responsibilities- Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Organize and develop training programs that align with the operating unit, identifying specific training needs to address current and future training requirements.
- Maintain daily training records, including collection and data entry.
- Organize the temporary-to-permanent employee process.
- Facilitate the train-the-trainer program for all mentors and department trainers to ensure continuity within the training program.
- Monitor the performance of the facilities’ trainers and mentors for consistency and effectiveness.
- Become proficient in all operations of the plant.
- Support flexible shift patterns to touchpoint trainees on off shifts.
- Communicate to the leadership team Training KPI’s (New Hire Turnover Rate, Trainer Success Rate, Hire Date-to-Certification Date period).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bilingual preferred – proficient in English and Spanish (read, write, speak).
- 1‑2 years of prior experience in a leadership capacity.
- Preferably, Training Coordinator experience with training material (SOP) development and execution of the training program.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset with analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple, diverse tasks with minimal supervision and flexibility in job responsibilities.
- Proficiency with computers and production management systems (e.g., SAP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to meet scheduling and attendance expectations, including evening, weekend, and holiday hours as appropriate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong public speaking and written communication abilities.
High School Diploma or GED.
