1st shift Robot Technician II M-F Plus OT

Description

Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

Operation of Robotic equipment. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toed shoes. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

• Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Computer literacy; must work closely with computers and programs daily.
• Diligent observation of machinery in order to identify abnormalities during operation.
• Be able to make/suggest adjustments in order to positively affect quality.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems that arise.
• Ensure that all quality controls are completed each day.
• Detailed cleaning of all applicable areas during product color changes.
• Communicate with other Operators, Assistant Shift Leaders and Shift Leader.
• Ensure a clean and safe work area.
• Assist in production as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of basic moulding processes, procedures, and machinery preferred (ex. oven/kiln operation, conveying systems, presses).
• Experience in the safe storage and handling of chemicals.

• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to work overtime hours as needed with little or no notification.
• May encounter the following chemicals:
• Acetone
• Resin
• Styrene
