Maintain and repair extrusion machines, checking quality of the product. Monitor ammeter, temperature, air and water for variations. Maintain log of parts usage and preventive maintenance. Must have basic math skills for metric conversion. Use of basic hand tools, grinder, vice, parts cleaner and drill or drill press are needed as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build die sets for extrusion
• Monitor machine conditions
• Maintain a neat and clean work area
• Check quality of product
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Perform other related work required by manager

Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and push up to 1500 lbs. Must pass a Mechanic's test administered online.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma (GED minimum)
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and push up to 1500 lbs.
• Must pass a Mechanic's test administered on line

Physical Demands:
While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop/bend, reach/stretch, climb, use hands and arms to lift objects and/or materials weighing up to 60 lbs. The employee may be required to occasionally push materials or product that weigh up to 1500 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is required to wear appropriate safety protective equipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as required by safety program rules.
