Summary

The basic function of the Paint Line Operator I position is to monitor the operation, clean, inspect, and maintain paint line equipment in their area in a safe, environmentally compliant and professional manner.

Principal Activities
  • Operate paint line equipment according to work instructions
  • Check product dimensions with use of various indicators and gauges as described in procedures and/or work instructions.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.

Principal Activities
  • Operate paint line equipment according to work instructions
  • Prepare paint solvent mix
  • Check product dimensions with use of various indicators and gauges as described in procedures and/or work instructions.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Equipment Knowledge
  • Sprayers
  • Filters
  • Conveyors
Safety
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures
    • Current on all safety trainings
    • Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
  • Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
  • Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
  • Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
  • Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
  • Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
