The purpose of this position is to perform lead role responsibilities. Essential functions and key responsibilities include following specific requirements of a particular job order, fabricating according to daily production requirements, communicating and instructing entry level employees in various phases, following specific directions from the department supervisor and seeing that these directions are carried out, making sure the area is kept organized and 5S procedures and policies are followed, partnering with department manager in the absence of the supervisor, auditing completed product to assure it meets order requirements and YKK quality standards, communicating non-conforming product issue to department personnel, analyzing and resolving work problems or assisting worker in solving work problems, initiating or suggesting plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals, setting up machines and equipment, performing activities of workers in department, and keeping work area neat and clean.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes.

Physical requirements include constant lifting in excess of 50 pounds, standing for a minimum ten (10) hour period of time, and stooping, bending and kneeling.

Qualifications and skill requirements include a high school diploma/GED (minimum), at least three years of manufacturing experience preferably in a fabrication or production environment with at least 6 months in a leadership role, good math skills, and being vigilant about safety and quality-conscious, oriented to excellence.

The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $19.82 - $22.84, depending on experience, skills and qualifications.
