A growing manufacturing facility in Macon is looking for a mechanically inclined Assembly Technician. In this position you will need to be able to follow all diagrams and instructions, provided by Engineering, to ensure the customers products are assembled accurately, timely, and in a safe manner. In order to be considered for this position you will need to be able to provide a resume that shows your previous work experience.
salary: $19.99 - $20 per hour

- Assemble products based on drawings and instructions provided by Engineering
- Interconnect systems using SCH 80 PVC, galvanized, and stainless steel.
- Wire microprocessor-based controllers and custom control panels using basic wiring techniques.
- Program microprocesseor-base equipment
- Test assembled systems for quality prior to shipment
- Must have ability to fit PVC and steel pipe
- Must have proficient use of power and hand tools.
- Must have ability to read a tape measure
- Must have ability to read mechanical working drawings
- Must have ability to operate forklift
- Must have knowledge of basic electrical circuits
- Knowledge of how to operate a pipe threader a plus
- Knowledge of how to operate a multi-meter a plus
- Must be conditioned to sustain work in a manufacturing environment that ranges in temperature from 55oF – 100oF
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must have a valid Drivers License
- This position requires you to be able to bend, walk, and lift and carry items up to 50lbs for 100 feet.
- You must have good depth perceptions and ability to distinguish different colors
- Must have reading ability sufficient to read technical manuals, mechanical and electrical drawings, codes, and other technical materials.
