Join a highly respected team of Acute Care Surgeons supporting a busy Level I Trauma Center in Macon, Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity for a PA or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to work alongside experienced surgeons and advanced practice providers in a fast‑paced inpatient environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

• Full‑time, inpatient APP position
• Monday – Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
• Average patient census of approximately 15 patients per day
• Collaborative team‑based practice with experienced surgeons and APPs
• Opportunity to manage complex surgical and trauma patients
• Work within a premier Level I Trauma Center

• Provide inpatient care for General Surgery and Trauma Surgery patients
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care
• Participate in daily rounding and multidisciplinary care discussions
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
• Manage patient admissions, consults, and follow‑up care as appropriate
• Ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based patient care and documentation

• Certified as a PA or Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification
• Be eligible for or possess Georgia licensure
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative hospital environment
• Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Possess a passion for trauma and acute care surgery

The Surgery & Weight Management team consists of 8 Physicians and 8 Advanced Practice Providers who work collaboratively to deliver comprehensive surgical and trauma care while maintaining a strong culture of teamwork, education, and clinical excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside highly respected acute care surgeons within a Level I Trauma Center. Providers enjoy meaningful clinical work, strong physician collaboration, and the ability to make a direct impact on patient outcomes in a dynamic surgical environment.
