* Schedule options include either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days per week.
* Weekend work may be required based on staffing needs.
* On-call coverage is required once per week on a rotating basis with the Nurse Director.
Pay Range
$51.05 - $76.60

Offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient recovery programs and alternative options. Our clinicians are certified in their respective domains with years of experience under their belt. Using a wide variety of techniques, technologies, and specialized training, these services are customized to help patients achieve their goals.
This Nurse Manager will oversee two units at the rehabilitation hospital. Unit 1 is a 33-bed Medical-Surgical/Orthopedic/Trauma unit that admits acute patients referred from hospitals, LTACs, LTC facilities, and home settings. The team provides specialized, patient-centered care for individuals recovering from:
* Post-operative orthopedic procedures and CABG
* Amputations
* External fixators such as motor vehicle accidents, traumatic injuries, gunshot wounds, and falls.
* Acute and chronic hemodialysis; peritoneal dialysis rarely
* General debilitation
* Wounds requiring wound VAC therapy
* Long-term IV antibiotic therapy
Unit 2 is a 25-bed Neuro/Traumatic Brain Injury/Spinal Cord Injury/CVA/Aneurysm rehabilitation unit that cares for patients recovering from:
* Craniotomies
* Cerebrovascular accidents (CVA)
* Brain bleeds
* PEG tubes and swallowing difficulties related to CVA
* Tracheostomies, most often capped, with trach collar oxygen used rarely which is managed by respiratory therapists around the clock
* Braces and splints for mobility deficits related to CVA
Essential Functions
o Continually demonstrates and supports a Professional Practice model that allows nurses to work in collaboration with interdisciplinary partners to achieve high quality patient outcomes.
o Ensures that unit operations and employees are in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, regulatory agency standards, and policies and procedures.
o Functions as a team member to accomplish goals and objectives of the unit and the organization, upholding quality management, patient care, and departmental standards.
o Assumes responsibility in the recruitment and retention of qualified staff and to ensure appropriate orientation, education, credentialing and continuing professional development of personnel through mutual goal setting and performance evaluation.
o Delegates effectively by promoting shared governance, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes.
o Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administers medications as necessary.
o Provides and assesses effectiveness of patient and family education.
o Participates with performance improvement activities to improve quality of nursing care, promote patient outcomes and provide a cost-effective environment for patient care.
o Assists in development of policies, procedures and standards reflective of evidence-based practice.
o Promotes shared accountability for professional practice.
o Allocates resources to meet the unit needs. Responsible for budgetary oversight, and along with staff involvement, accountable to the organization for maintaining a cost-effective unit.
Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English fluently. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and / or unit/department…
