Minimum of 2 years of Inpatient Rehabilitation or Medical-Surgical experience required.

Active LPN License in Georgia

BLS, NIHSS
Must-Have:
Experience with neuro, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, CVA, and other rehabilitation patient types.
Knowledge of wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, peripheral IV starts/maintenance, ostomy care, IV antibiotics, PEG tube maintenance, tube feeds, established trach care/maintenance.
Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients in a rehabilitation setting.
The unit has 25 beds with a census of approximately 20-25 patients.
Patients typically include those recovering from neuro injuries, traumatic brain injuries, traumatic strokes, aneurysms, and post-surgical complications.
Nurses will work collaboratively with a team to support patient needs and ensure high-quality care.
Patient ratios for nursing staff are typically 1:5-7.
Certified Nursing Assistants are available to assist with vital signs, glucose checks, bathing, feeding, ambulating, and transporting patients.
Equipment used includes EMR systems, vital sign monitors, IV pumps, portable oxygen systems, and suction machines.
The unit operates with a focus on teamwork and supportive care.
Weekend rotation requires 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 in a 6-week schedule.
Holiday expectations include working one shift during major holidays.
There are opportunities for professional development and continued education within the facility.
