Licensed Practical Nurse

LPN/LVN – $1,120 weekly stipends ($8/hour) + $288 weekly base pay. Onsite contract starting 6/02/2026 for 13 weeks.

Day shift: 12 hours/day, 3 days/week.

Note: Requires a minimum of 2 years of inpatient rehab or Med Surg experience with inpatient rehab knowledge.

• Experience requirement: 2+ years inpatient rehab or Med Surg; RN or LPN acceptable for RN posting.
• First‑time travelers accepted.

• Neuro: traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, CVA, aneurysm, post‑craniotomy, brain bleeds, patients with PEG tubes and trach tubes; most patients referred from hospitals.
• Patients often have mobility deficits and require braces, splints, and specialized care.

• RN/LPN to patients: 1 : 5–7
• CNA to patients: 1–3 per shift

• Active RN license (GA)
• BLS
• NIHSS

• Experience with listed patient types and wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, peripheral IV starts/maintenance, ostomy care, IV antibiotics, PEG tube maintenance, tube feeds, established trach care/maintenance.
• Proficient with mobility devices, braces/splints, bowel/bladder programs.
• No IV drips.

• CNA assisting with vital signs, glucose checks, baths, feeding, ambulation, turning, hourly rounding, and transportation.
• Receptionist/unit secretary support.
• Charge RN, phlebotomy, nurse draw, RT 24/7, hospitalist during day and on call at night.

• IV Pump:

• Medication dispensing:
  Pyxis
• Monitors:
  Phillips; additional vitals, Nova glucose stat strips; portable vital signs monitors (Dynamapp); bladder scanners; portable oxygen system; suction machine.

Between Unit 1 and Unit 2.

• 1 day orientation with educational modules.
• 2 days departmental orientation.
• Weekend rotation: 5–6 weekend shifts out of 12 (6‑week schedule).
• No on‑call; work one shift on major holidays:
  Thanksgiving (or day after), 12/24, 12/25, 12/31 or 1/1.
• Shift times: 0700–1900, 1900–0700.
• Schedule cycle: 6‑week schedule.

• Scrub color: RN – navy; LPN – teal blue.
