Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | IDD Crisis Center | Full Time

Shift: 12-Hour AM & PM shifts
Pay: Starting at $32/hour

• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers to patients in the crisis facility.
• Conduct initial patient assessments to determine the nature and urgency of their needs during a crisis situation.
• Regularly assess and record patients' vital signs to ensure stability and detect any changes that may indicate a worsening condition.
• Treat and dress wounds, injuries, or other physical health issues that patients may have during a crisis.
• Assist in managing and de‑escalating crises, utilizing medical knowledge and training to support patients in distress.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients in crisis.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records, including assessments, interventions, treatments, and outcomes, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff in the crisis facility.
• Address personnel issues to promote a productive and supportive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies relevant to crisis services and nursing practice.
• Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to stay current on best practices and advancements in crisis care and nursing.

• Active, unencumbered Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
• Fingerprint‑Based Background Check of Georgia and Federal Criminal History Records
• Drug Screening
• Two (2) years' experience working in a behavioral health or individuals with developmental disabilities (IDD) setting
