Position Overview

We are hiring experienced Registered Nurses for multiple acute care units at Wellstar Paulding. Eligible for a sign‑on bonus and strong benefits including enhanced 403(b) and medical coverage. • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care providers to deliver individualized, high‑quality, safe patient care.
• Apply the Nursing Process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence‑based practice and analytical/critical thinking.
• Provide relationship‑based, patient‑centered care that respects cultural diversity and adapts service delivery to individual needs.
• Conduct bedside shift reports, keep patients and their significant others updated, and keep the patient’s goals at the focus of the care plan.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care, promoting the professional care delivery model.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, practicing with fiscal responsibility and supporting recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care; initiate or lead such activities and support shared governance at all levels.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses and staff or students across disciplines, modeling professional practice and creating a healthy work environment.
• Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement; participate in value analysis and protocol development.
• Uphold health‑care system policies, clinical competencies, and regulatory requirements, including TJC Patient Safety Goals and Wellstar Health Systems’ safety absolutes.
• Collect data, pose relevant clinical questions, and proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited/approved school of nursing (required);
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Registered RN in Georgia (single‑state) or RN with Multi‑state Compact.
• Completion of required clinical hours from an accredited/approved nursing program.
• Direct patient care experience (preferred).
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.
• Commitment to professional standards and ethical practice as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nursing Act and the American Nurses Association.
