Job OverviewAs a Travel Correctional LPN, you will provide exceptional patient care in a Correctional Center located in Ocilla, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate nurses passionate about high-quality healthcare.
What You'll Do- Apply appropriate nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents.
- Operate pill calls, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies.
- Attend sick calls with the physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined; prepare examining room and equipment.
- Examine and assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries or inmates/residents who become ill or injured; refer inmates/residents to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facilities as required.
- Monitor, as directed, inmate/resident inpatient hospitalizations for early releases whenever appropriate.
- Regularly evaluate the provision of medical services to prevent the inappropriate use or duplication of those services.
- Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify Licensed Independent Providers for treatment orders.
- Provide guidance, supervise, and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff.

Responsibilities- Assess and prioritize patient needs, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient responses.
- Provide patient and family education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Adapt to various healthcare settings and demonstrate flexibility in response to changing assignments.
- LPN license in Georgia or a “Compact” multi-license.
- BLS certification.
- 1+ years of recent correctional nursing experience preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- License in the state of assignment.
- English proficiency.
