Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 4x12

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 4x12 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on collected data.
• Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients and families.
• Provide accurate documentation of all assessments and interventions.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and oversee direct patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and prepare patients for discharge from the day of admission.
• Communicate relevant patient status changes to other care providers.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in line with hospital policies.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through team building activities.
• Maintain communication regarding service needs with management and nursing staff.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
