Role: Registered Nurse in the Pre-Op team, responsible for comprehensive pre-operative assessments, verifying surgical consents, initiating IV therapy, administering medications, and preparing patients physically and emotionally for procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pre-operative assessments and verify surgical consents
- Initiate IV therapy and administer ordered medications
- Ensure patient readiness for surgery, both physically and emotionally
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff
- Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation
- Uphold safety standards throughout patient care
- Valid RN license
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols and documentation procedures
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development
