American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 2+ years of experience and prior travel experience.

• Work in a Cath Lab unit with 3 Cath Labs and 2 EP Labs
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Call requirements include 1 weekend per month and 1-2 weekdays per week
• Weekend coverage included as part of call requirements
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice, including to an additional Piedmont hospital as needed

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, starting and maintaining IVs, and PICC line care and maintenance
• Experience assisting with central line insertion/management and IV infusion pumps preferred
• Proficient in circulating procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and infection prevention/isolation precautions
• Experience with procedural sedation monitoring and Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale
• Experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, including left and right heart catheterizations
• Experience with IABP placement/removal and Impella insertion
• Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring preferred
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures
• Scrub procedure experience in GI, GU, neurological, and vascular studies preferred
• Experience with FFR (Fractional Flow Reserve) and Angio Jet procedures

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of consideration
• No RTO can be requested during orientation week
• Holiday coverage required: one holiday must be worked if 1-2 major holidays fall during the assignment, or two holidays if 3 major holidays occur
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Full compliance required to start on time
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former Piedmont permanent, per diem, or FCSS staff must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Travelers who cancel or are deemed unable to return to a facility must complete one successful assignment outside of Piedmont before reapplying
• No special scheduling requests or alternate shifts permitted
