Key Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Communicates about products in a meaningful, relevant way; customizes discussions based on customer needs.
- Primary point of contact for assigned customers; meets key decision makers to understand practice structure, business model, influencers, customer needs, and identifies business opportunities.
- Develop customer strategy and interaction/relationship plans to drive sales opportunities and account sales growth.
- Develop territory and account plans; partners with Technical Services, /Infrastructure Specialists, Monitoring Specialists, National Account Managers, and Distribution Field Partners.
- Collaborate across species teams to strengthen knowledge of the full Animal Health product portfolio.
- Share knowledge with regional team members to support growth and development.
- Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget.
- Identify and select programs/services from available resources to meet customer needs and provide education/training.
- Work with leadership and Field Technical Services to develop and deliver offerings.
- Maintain understanding of Animal Health products, industry trends, competitor landscape, business model, and key influencers; share information to influence sales trends.
- Communicate relevant customer/industry/product/market trends across the organization.
- Develop and meet learning and development objectives agreed with leadership.
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Familiarity with the Beef and Dairy Industry
- Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to use an iPad
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity
- Animal Health industry sales experience
- Account management experience
- Beef and/or Dairy management and animal health/monitoring experience preferred
- Business development and planning skills
- Knowledge of animal health protocols and biological/pharmaceutical products
- Experience with animal health resellers
- Existing territory relationships are a plus
- Spanish fluency preferred (not required)
- Account Management, Adaptability, Data Analysis, Product Knowledge, Sales Forecasting, Sales Strategy Development, Technical Product Sales
