Performs Hotel grounds patrols and building to maintain order, enforce rules/regular and ensure observance of applicable laws.
📍 At Hotel Forty Five in downtown Macon, the Loss Prevention Officer supports a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property. The role focuses on monitoring hotel premises, responding to incidents, and enforcing safety and security procedures with professionalism and discretion. By maintaining strong awareness, clear communication, and consistent documentation, this position plays a key part in protecting assets, preventing loss, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere where guests and staff feel confident and well supported.
WhatYou Have
- High school graduate
- One-year security experience preferred
- Valid Drivers’ License/State of Georgia
- Good communication skills
- Working understanding of Mainsail rules and regulations, along with local laws
- Use reason and judgment in dealing with different types of people based on provided training
- Ability to think clearly and react quickly in emergencies
- Comply with Mainsail’s Core Values
- Patrol lobby, common areas and Associate areas regularly
- Communicate with management, investigate disturbances, complaints.
- Complete necessary paperwork (shift reports and incident reports), e‑mail pass‑on and route as necessary
- Obtain assistance for accident victims
- Act as example for safety and security practices
- Utilize judgment regarding courses of action towards troublesome guests
- Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations
- Ensure all guest/Associate contact is professional and courteous
- Performs related duties to include assistance with deliveries, tasks initiated by supervisors
- Attend meetings as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Be familiar with the organization of the Hotel and know the function of each department.
- Attend meetings / training as required by management
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend
- Ability to lift, pull 50 lbs
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to work long hours as needed
- Following ergonomic safety practices re: lifting and movement; using standard safe trade practices using personal protective equipment
- Use of OSHA‑mandated and/or proper/accepted work practices (e.g., lockout‑tag out, confined space , “hot work” work above ceiling practices)
- Must be able to read and understand directions.
- Must be able to communicate with guest / customers to understand needs and convey solutions.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities.
