Job Overview
The Campus Life Student Assistant will manage the Campus Life Suite after hours, ensuring the space stays well‑maintained and that rules are followed. Students may also assist at select events such as Family Weekend.
Key Responsibilities- Answer guests' questions
- Ensure the space is safe and welcoming for students
- Check equipment in and out
- Answer the Campus Life main phone line
- Conduct daily building walkthroughs of the Connell Student Center
- Maintain detailed notes of questions and occurrences to share with Campus Life professional staff
Minimum shift time is 2 hours.
Working hours:
10am–2pm and 4:30pm–8:30pm Monday–Friday (Friday only 10am–2pm), and 6pm–8pm on Sunday. Scheduled hours: 42 per week. Pay: $12 per hour.
Start date:
08/17/2026. End date: 05/17/2027.
- Must have work‑study status for this position.
- Students must bring a charged and working tablet or laptop to every shift for basic internet‑based tasks such as equipment check‑out assistance.
- Must be able to work independently, manage peers, and request help from campus resources when necessary.
- Knowledge of Campus Life and Student Involvement Office offerings is preferred.
In adherence to the Immigration Control Act of 1986, all student employees must complete an Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I‑9) and present documentation verifying citizenship or permanent residency before beginning work. Required documents include a valid U.S. passport, certificate of U.S. citizenship, alien registration card with photograph, or two of the following: state driver’s license, validated student , original social security card, and birth certificate.
