Schedule:
Monday thru Friday, On-call one week each month
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems and document tasks through the computerized maintenance system.
- Assist in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and perform repairs as directed.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain basic utility system infrastructure.
- Assist in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems.
- Support the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision.
- Maintain preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance.
- Read blueprints, life safety drawings, and maintenance manuals to gain necessary knowledge.
- Advanced training beyond high school, including completion of technical training.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2‑4 years of experience in industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
- Intermediate computer skills (CMMS, Microsoft Office, Building Automation Systems).
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Works required shifts and participates in on‑call duty to provide 24/7 coverage. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest level, and up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force. Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and related safety precautions. Position requires travel and may be exposed to road/weather hazards. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Recognized community college/tech school trade certificate or completed recognized community college program.
- Trade/Tech School trade certificate or industry‑recognized certification/license requiring continuing education units or periodic renewal.
- 2+ years of experience in relevant industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
