Job Summary

Dept: 11917 Navicent Health Medical Center - Facilities. Status:
Full time. Benefits Eligible:
Yes. Hours Per Week: 40.

Schedule:

Primarily Day shift, Monday through Friday but may require after business hour. Must be able to service and maintain HVAC systems at multiple locations.

Pay Range: $33.05 - $49.60.

Major Responsibilities
  • Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems.
  • Diagnoses and implements complex repairs for multiple utility, infrastructure and life safety systems.
  • Installs/replaces and maintains building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls systems.
  • Operates, monitors and maintains advanced utility equipment (generators, plant chillers, steam boilers, fire protection systems, etc.) and provides oversight of building automation systems to maintain and improve efficiencies.
  • Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems.
  • Reads and updates blueprints, life safety drawings and manuals for accurate task completion.
  • Interfaces with vendors, contractors and construction vendors to ensure safe utility interfacing and tie‑in.
  • Coordinating, scheduling and ensuring required testing, calibrations and maintenance records are provided and maintained.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required
  • Valid driver’s license. Industry recognized certification/license requiring continuing education units or periodic renewal to maintain.
Education Required
  • Advanced training beyond high school that includes the completion of technical training.
Experience Required
  • Five or more years of experience in related industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight and demonstrate advanced technical skills in facility maintenance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills/competency in using and operating systems such as Microsoft Office, building automation systems, pneumatic tube systems.
  • Understanding of applicable compliance codes and guidelines.
  • Understanding of multiple trades and systems and how they interconnect and support the location.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Works required shifts and participates in on‑call duty to provide 24/7 coverage.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.

    Serves as the technical lead for performing advanced preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs across various building, utility/support and life safety systems. Acts as a subject matter expert, mentoring and assisting other trade specialists on complex issues. Coordinates and facilitates the work of others but is not a supervisor.
