Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our fast‑growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and an active EPA Certification.

Job Responsibilities
  • Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment to identify repair or replacement needs with no mistakes or callbacks.
  • Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts of existing units according to specifications of 15 tons+.
  • Maintain larger preventive maintenance contracts with more than 5 units.
  • Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls.
  • Service and troubleshoot mini‑splits and/or replace smaller RTUs and mini‑splits for 15 tons or less.
  • Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customers.
  • Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered.
Accountabilities
  • Continual learning and development through First Call Academy to set the bar for skill level in the industry.
  • Provide elite level of customer service to ensure we remain the first call for HVAC needs.
Organizational Alignment

This position reports to the local Service Manager and is responsible for engaging with the service team and all customers.

Qualifications
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Active EPA Certification.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a commercial HVAC setting.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Manufacturer Certification preferred.
  • Available to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; mental stamina for problem‑solving and prioritizing multiple tasks; help lead over and teach helpers and tech I’s.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to use hands, stand, walk, and sit; frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
