Looking for a Sr. Electrical Test Technician

Headquartered in Houston, deliver end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables, battery storage, industrial, and petrochemical markets, using an engineering-led approach to design, install, test, and maintain medium- and high-voltage electrical infrastructure for clients locally, nationally, and abroad. This role sits at the heart of field operations: testing, commissioning, and maintaining high-voltage substation equipment to keep critical power systems safe and reliable. Candidates are placed from Technician I through Senior, with title and comp tracking certification and experience.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Test and commission high-voltage power apparatus, substations, and switch gear — protective relays, circuit breakers, power transformers, CT/PTs, metering, cables, and grounding systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, then recommend corrective action and repairs
• Produce technical reports detailing work performed, issues found, and fixes taken or recommended
• Represent the company professionally on-site and interface directly with clients
• Coordinate with management on project status, manpower, and equipment scheduling
• Uphold a zero-tolerance safety standard on every job

Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years in the high-voltage industry (NETA testing company experience ideal)
• AAS in Electrical/Electronics Technology, or equivalent hands-on HV field experience
• Solid grasp of AC/DC fundamentals, substation components, and control & protection systems
• Familiarity with industry standards — NETA, IEEE, NFPA, and NEC/NESC
• Valid driver's license with a clean record, open to 50%+ travel, able to lift 75 lbs
• Preferred: NETA certification (Level II, III, or IV) and PowerDB experience
