Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Crane Operator role based in Georgia, United States. The Crane Operator will safely operate various types of cranes for lifting, moving, and positioning materials on construction, industrial, and specialty projects. Day-to-day tasks include conducting pre-operation inspections, setting up and configuring cranes according to lift plans, and following load charts and safety protocols. The role involves working closely with rigging crews, site supervisors, and Account Managers to execute lifts efficiently and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

The Crane Operator will also assist with basic equipment maintenance, document inspection findings, and participate in ongoing safety and operational training.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment use, including safe rigging practices and adherence to load charts.
  • Candidates should possess experience working with Heavy Equipment and Cranes, including setup, operation, and shutdown procedures.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Inspection of lifting equipment and cranes to identify issues and ensure operational readiness and safety.
  • Valid NCCCO crane operator certification (or equivalent nationally recognized certification) is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, knowledge of OSHA and industry safety standards, and ability to follow company procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret lift plans, site drawings, and equipment manuals, with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with riggers, supervisors, and project teams in varying site conditions.
  • Prior experience as a crane operator in construction, industrial, or heavy lifting environments; experience with multiple crane types is a plus.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors, climb equipment, and perform duties in various weather and site conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL and clean driving record are required.
