Summary of the Role Seeking an entry-level Conveyor Belting Technician who is mechanically inclined. Performs splices and installation on various types of conveyor belts and components to meet customer and industry requirements. Performs other field service and warehouse tasks, as trained and required. Reports to Field Service Supervisor or Manager.

Responsibilities Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures

Works closely with Field Service Supervisors and team members in attaining goals and objectives

Good understanding of overall Quality process and documentation

Communicate general and quality-related concerns to management

Provide onsite customer service

Perform conveyor belt installation with mechanical or vulcanized splice

Perform hose testing as needed

Understands tools and machinery applicable to the job Travel is required part of job Perform other duties as trained and qualified for

Skills and Abilities

Must be able to work overtime hours, evening and weekends, when required

Must be able travel to out-of-town jobs, as needed

Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner

Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.

Basic computer skills including; internet and email.

Must be able to apply OSHA standards applicable and MSHA standards as applicable (training will be provided)

Minimum Qualifications Be at least 21 years of ageHave a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Have a high school diploma/GED Reliable transportation is a must

Be able to work independently

Ability to safely drive a Company truck

Ability to work overtime, as required

Ability to work nights and weekends, as required

Basic math skills

Properly measure with a tape measure

Ability to travel on regular basis

Background checks, drug screening, and a physical may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)
Must be able to successfully pass a DOT physical exam, or have a current DOT medical card

Preferred Qualifications Experience working with conveyors and conveyor components

Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience

Mechanically inclined

Knowledge of maintenance and repair of machinery a plusOSHA 10 and MSHA certifications

First aid and CPR certifications
