What You Will Be Doing:
As the Parts Expeditor, you will be responsible for performing the daily processing of counter and shop part returns. You will act as working lead and will be responsible for processing all stock and non-returnable parts returned for restocking, as well as identifying process improvements, monitoring work schedules, and providing a monthly report of return lines processed. You will assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures, and provide clear verbal and written communication to parts and service leadership teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Parts Coordination & Expediting
- Locate, pull, and stage parts for technicians and service jobs
- Ensure required parts are available before repairs begin
- Track backorders and expedite urgent parts
- Communicate part availability and delays to service staff
- Inventory & Warehouse Support
- Maintain an organized warehouse and staging area
- Return unused or incorrect parts back to proper bin locations promptly
- Order Fulfillment & Delivery
- Pull and prepare parts orders for technicians and customers
- Assist with loading/unloading parts
- Deliver parts internally or externally when required
- Shop Support & Efficiency
- Stage parts for upcoming jobs to reduce downtime
- Locate missing parts quickly
- Coordinate with parts, service, and warehouse teams
- Resolve issues with incorrect or damaged parts
- Administrative Tasks
- Update inventory systems and track orders
- Process returns, cores, and warranty parts
- Verify paperwork and credits
To be successful in this position you should be organized, show an attention for detail, and have a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, team environment. You should have basic computer skills, safety conscious and the willingness to learn. The ability to multitask, problem solve and provide superior customer service are essential to this position as well.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent Required.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to learn different software and processes used in warehouse operations.
- Work with a sense of urgency and organization.
- Be detailed oriented.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally higher amounts with assistant devices.
