Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor at IMMI oversees and actively participates in daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials and inventory. This role manages incoming and outgoing inventory according to schedule, prepares work assignments for warehouse associates, trains new employees on equipment and operational procedures, and monitors compliance with IMMI safety and quality standards. The Warehouse Supervisor also collaborates with cross-functional teams to support production schedules, inventory accuracy, and logistics efficiency, maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment while driving continuous process improvements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure accurate inventory handling and proper documentation of all warehouse transactions.
  • Audit and report inventory, providing recommendations on items to order and restock.
  • Monitor workplace performance, maintain all standards of quality as stated by IMMI and regulatory requirements, and enforce compliance with SOPs and company policies.
  • Oversee the safe operation of forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse associates to ensure productivity, safety, and adherence to company policies.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, provide feedback, foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct training initiatives to help team members understand operational goals and gain professional satisfaction.
Inventory Control & Data Accuracy
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/WMS systems and conduct regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damages promptly.
  • Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure materials availability aligns with production requirements.
  • Utilize record-keeping of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and develop strategies for growth.
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct safety inspections, maintain safety records, and provide training for warehouse employees.
  • Investigate incidents or near-misses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Process Improvement & Reporting
  • Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse operations and improve efficiency.
  • Generate and review reports on inventory levels, order accuracy, and warehouse performance metrics.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance supply chain processes and operational excellence.
Skills &

Qualifications:

Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse supervision, materials handling, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably in automotive or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other relevant computer software.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, safety regulations, and warehouse best practices.
  • Must comply with all legal and corporate responsibilities.
Preferred:
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Forklift and powered industrial truck certification.
  • Strong background in inventory management, cycle counting, process optimization, and workflow improvement.
