Tranquil Shores, LLC., a nationally recognized and accredited chemical dependency and behavioral health care facility, is seeking a full time Behavioral Health Tech Supervisor. The Supervisor is responsible for management and overall quality of services delivered at the community housing. The Manager is responsible for all affairs regarding the residence facilities and transportation of the clients. The Supervisor coordinates client logistics for smooth working between community housing and clinical office requirements, while providing supervision to the client support staff.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for understanding job functions within the organization.
- Maintains and strives for positive, professional relationships with the staff, clients, and visitors.
- Coordinates in administrative tasks according to the philosophy, objectives and standards of practice of Tranquil Shores.
- Meets with the Executive Director and Program Director whenever necessary to discuss and resolve occurrences, trends or problems which impact the quality or functioning of the service.
- Demonstrates an understanding of Safety & Emergency procedures, First Aid, Internal and External Disasters.
- Adheres to all DCF, Joint Commission and FARR standards & guidelines.
- Completes all environment of care inspections, documentation and reports for safety and accreditation.
- Attend weekly clinical meetings.
- Attends and participates in continuing education programs.
- Understands that the job description is based on criteria and will be evaluated annually.
- Helps maintain day-to-day life at residence facility including and not limited to fiscal management, proper use of resources, employee counseling, disciplinary measures, hiring and termination of client support employees.
- Coordinates the flow of communication between the client support staff and the clinical office.
- Prepares the work schedule for the client support staff.
- Facilitates monthly client support staff meetings and provides supervision for all client support staff.
- Provides on-call support to client support staff.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience in the field of Chemical Dependency required. Experience in management in the Health Care or a related field is acceptable.
- Must have two-years supervisory experience.
- Demonstrates knowledge of alcohol and chemical dependency disorders.
- Able to work under pressure, maintaining a professional manner with clients, family, staff, physician and visitors.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification on file, within 6 months of employment.
- Demonstrates knowledge of health care standards as required by Federal, State and Local agencies.
- Good physical and mental health.
- Able to communicate effectively interpersonally and in group situations.
- Possess a high level of sensitivity, flexibility, understanding or organizational behavior, with the ability to remain objective.
- Current TB Skin Test (recommended)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must pass Level II Background Screening and all Pre-employment Screening.
