Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Traveling Steel Erection Services PM Mission Critical in Madera, CA. The Traveling Project Manager for Mission Critical Construction leads large-scale, complex data center projects from preconstruction through final closeout, specifically focusing on structural steel and pre-engineered metal building systems. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing high-value industrial projects as a General Contractor and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.

Annual Salary: $166,000 to $214,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of large-scale mission critical construction projects from initial preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Oversee project budgets, financial performance, progress billings, and the approval of invoices and change orders.
  • Coordinate project execution with estimating, engineering, field supervision, vendors, owners, and design teams.
  • Review contracts, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure all project scopes are executed according to design requirements.
  • Manage owner contracts, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and the coordination of multiple subcontractors.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules to ensure timely delivery while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong, transparent communication with all internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA standards, safety requirements, permits, and quality control protocols.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges and technical issues while maintaining the project budget.
  • Oversee the completion of punch lists and manage the final turnover process to the facility owner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience managing large commercial, industrial, or mission critical projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale construction projects from the General Contractor (GC) perspective.
  • Technical proficiency in structural steel and pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) construction.
  • Significant experience with Design-Build projects and high-value technical facility construction.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Sage 300, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and project scope documents.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a high-pressur e environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work on-site in various elements and industrial environments depending on job location.
  • Must be able to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and walking on uneven terrain.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats and safety glasses at all times.
  • Ability to work 8-10 hours per day as required by project schedules.
  • Ability to utilize construction site sanitary facilities.
Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $166,000 to $214,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
