Special Education Teacher
Job Title
Assist a certificated teacher of the hearing impaired in instruction of hearing impaired students. Facilitate communication between students with hearing impairments and their hearing peers, the classroom teacher, and other personnel in the school system; provide interpreting and other support services to students with hearing impairments who are mainstreamed in a variety of school settings. Other duties may include tutoring and note taking.
QualificationsMay require:
Oral bilingual proficiency in a second language as determined by administration.
Education and experience:
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and successful passage of a sign to voice/voice to sign evaluation at a Level 4 or 5 on a state agency approved certification. Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License.
