Part‑time Optometrist located at Central California Women’s Facility, Chowchilla, CA (Madera County). 24 hours per week; monthly salary range $4,669.80—$6,191.40. Position number: 381‑213‑7971‑918. Main communication will be through email—please provide a valid email address with your application.

Under the general direction of the Receiver’s Medical Executive, the Optometrist conducts eye examinations using observation and instruments to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities for patients. The Optometrist maintains order, supervises conduct of incarcerated patients, and protects the safety of persons and property. Additional details are available in the Duty Statement.

Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) will reduce the base salary of applicable employees by 3 % and award 5 PLP credits per month through June 2027. Part‑time employees are affected on a prorated basis. Salaries listed above have not been adjusted for these changes.
