HR Operations & Accounting Specialist – Hands-On, High-Impact Role
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Consulting HR Operations & Accounting Specialist to join our thriving construction team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), SAGE, and advanced Excel. This role is a unique blend of HR and Accounting responsibilities, making it an exciting opportunity for a professional who thrives in a multifaceted position.
This position requires a deep understanding of onboarding, termination documentation, tracking employees, employee files, and maintaining confidentiality. The successful candidate will also have experience with projects, support, open enrollment, employee benefits, wage garnishment, and deductions, along with processing payroll and quarterly close.
- 1. Manage all aspects of HR operations, including onboarding, termination, and tracking of employees.
- 2. Maintain the utmost confidentiality when dealing with employee files and sensitive information.
- 3. Coordinate open enrollment and manage employee benefits, wage garnishments, and deductions.
- 4. Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
- 5. Oversee the quarterly close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- 6. Assist with job costing, providing detailed reports on labor and material costs for each project.
- 7. Utilize HRIS and SAGE software to streamline HR and accounting processes.
- 8. Assist with various projects, providing support where necessary.
- 9. Collaborate with the Employment Development Department (EDD) on relevant matters.
- 10. Participate in cross-training activities to foster a well-rounded understanding of all business operations.
- 11. Generate comprehensive financial reports, utilizing advanced Excel skills.
- 1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- 2. Proficiency in HRIS, SAGE, and advanced Excel.
- 3. Strong knowledge of HR processes, including onboarding, termination, and employee tracking.
- 4. Experience with managing employee files and maintaining confidentiality.
- 5. Demonstrated ability to handle wage garnishment and deductions.
- 6. Proven track record in processing payroll and overseeing the quarterly close process.
- 7. Experience with job costing and financial reporting.
- 8. Ability to handle multiple projects and provide support where necessary.
- 9. Experience with open enrollment and managing employee benefits.
- 10. Familiarity with the EDD and relevant regulations.
