Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a manufacturing production team to work injury‑free and meet productivity, safety, and quality goals. The role leads a team of 10‑20 members and continuously improves performance to meet production standards.
Job LocationMadera, CA facility.
Job Responsibilities- Ensures a safe workplace is maintained and a safety mindset is cultivated.
- Enforces company policies, standards, and safety requirements.
- Promotes safety excellence through employee involvement, ownership, and accountability.
- Hires, schedules, and supervises full‑time and temporary staff.
- Provides timely coaching, corrective feedback, and administers disciplinary processes up to termination.
- Conducts quarterly and annual performance reviews for all team members.
- Facilitates team development, skill improvement, and problem‑solving.
- Oversees process documentation and training procedures for operational consistency and workplace cleanliness.
- Ensures quality production and adherence to quality processes.
- Collaborates with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance to improve quality and reduce costs.
- Tracks productivity and operates within budget using lean manufacturing and cross‑training.
- Manages inventory control to achieve accuracy goals.
- Assists with troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
- Performs other duties as requested by management.
- Demonstrated leadership in safety and environmental compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to coach, develop, and build a strong team.
- Excellent listening and clear written and verbal communication.
- Effective conflict resolution skills.
- Skilled at working with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Results‑oriented work style.
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Basic mathematical skills (calculating percentages, volumes).
- Physical demands: walking, standing, bending, stretching, hand use, lifting up to 40 lbs with assistance if needed.
- Workplace may involve moderate to high noise in a plant environment with temperatures ranging from cool to hot.
- Base salary range of $60,000–$75,000 per year.
