Valley Children's Hospital is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic
. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional care for children and adolescents with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid disease, adrenal disorders, and other complex hormonal conditions.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based, family-centered care while helping patients achieve healthier futures.
What You’ll DoAs a Pediatric Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner, you will:
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of pediatric endocrine conditions.
- Partner with pediatric endocrinologists and an interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, nutrition, insulin therapy, technology, and lifestyle modifications.
- Serve as an expert clinician, educator, patient advocate, care coordinator, and consultant within the specialty.
- Perform comprehensive physical assessments, develop differential diagnoses, order and interpret diagnostic testing, and prescribe therapies within your scope of practice.
- Coordinate care across inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure seamless, high-quality patient experiences.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-based practice.
- Maintain clinical documentation and practice in accordance with California regulations, Valley Children's Hospital policies, and approved standardized procedures.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as assigned to support departmental needs.
Required
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- National Nurse Practitioner Certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Minimum one (1) year of related Nurse Practitioner experience
- Successful completion of Valley Children's credentialing process, including scope of practice and furnishing privileges
Preferred
- Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible pediatric nursing or advanced practice experience
- Demonstrated expertise in pediatric assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Pediatric Endocrinology experience strongly preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
