Operational Responsibilities- Operate excavators safely and efficiently to perform digging, loading, trenching, and material handling tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
- Load haul trucks, stockpiles, or crushers according to production targets and site requirements.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and report any mechanical faults or maintenance issues promptly.
- Coordinate effectively with dumper operators, dozer operators, and other equipment to maintain continuous material flow.
- Follow designated excavation plans, pit designs, and supervisor instructions to maintain grade control and stability.
- Maintain the excavator clean, organized, and in good working order through regular housekeeping and lubrication checks.
- Attend daily pre-start meetings.
- Perform visual safety checks before operating machinery and promptly report defects or mechanical issues.
- Operate the machine only within authorized areas and according to established safety zones.
- Comply with EPSA’s safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions, near-miss incidents, or accidents to your supervisor.
- Comply with EPSA’s environmental policies and practices.
- Ensure operations are conducted with minimal environmental impact.
- Secondary education certificate or equivalent.
- Valid heavy equipment operating license.
- Training in mine safety procedures.
- At least 5 years’ experience working in remote or international locations with similar equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret operational instructions.
- Reference checks will be conducted.
- Alcohol and drug testing applies as per company policy.
- All applicants will be subject to an assessment test.
- All applicants will be required to undergo and successfully pass a pre-employment medical examination.
