Lunch Monitor

$15.25/hr

• Minimum High School Diploma
• Able to positively interact and establish a rapport with students and staff
• Able to work cooperatively with adults
• Self‑initiative and ability to manage large groups
• Possess strong organizational and supervisory skills
• Proficient in basic spelling and math
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, certification in Adult/Child CPR and First Aid
• Must be willing to perform basic clean‑up tasks
• Able to withstand the strain of the position
• Other qualifications as the administration may deem necessary for the position

• Monitor and supervise students in the lunchroom, hallways, playground, and classroom
• Oversee students during lunch to ensure a safe, calm, and respectful environment
• Observe and rectify any disruptive behavior
• Assist with clean‑up and maintaining a sanitary environment
• Responsible for inputting checks or cash into student accounts
• Track and maintain student account balance information
• Responsible for deductions from student accounts for school breakfast/lunch
• Responsible for daily summary reports and daily balance
• Other responsibilities as the administration deems necessary

Employment is contingent upon disclosure in accordance with PA‑189.

Ability to withstand the strains and successfully manage the responsibilities of the position.

Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality, with a strong record of consistent attendance. Regular and dependable presence during school hours is essential.

Selected candidates will be required to have a district paid fingerprint criminal history check processed through the Michigan State Police and FBI.
