Long Term Substitute Teacher for High School ELA

Lamphere High School

$200/day

• Valid Michigan High School Teaching Certificate with ELA endorsement, preferred.
• Knowledge of High School student expectations including academic, social, and emotional.
• Experience or knowledge of reading and writing.
• Experience utilizing student data to drive instruction in all subject areas.
• Strong commitment to educating students.
• Ability to create lesson plans and implement instructional strategies.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to schedule changes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, students and parents.
• Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) and online sourcing tools with functional knowledge of internet use for search platforms.
• Ability to withstand the strain of teaching.
• Must be reliable and punctual with excellent work-related attendance record.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find acceptable and appropriate.

Ability to withstand the strains and successfully manage the responsibilities of the position. Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality, with a strong record of consistent attendance. Regular and dependable presence during school hours is essential. All staff members are expected to maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward one another at all times.

Selected candidates will be required to have a district paid fingerprint criminal history check processed through the Michigan State Police and FBI.
