We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join the Lamphere Family. In this educational setting with a diverse student population, the successful candidate will inspire and educate students in a positive and engaging learning environment while developing and delivering a curriculum aligned with state and national standards. This role fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills through active collaboration with colleagues and ongoing professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Science (DX) or (DI) endorsement for grades 6-12
• Additional certification in any of the following areas
  - Language Arts (BX or BA);
  Social Studies (RX or CX); or Mathematics (EX), preferred
• Ability to interact positively with, and motivate, students
• Ability to use data to plan and adjust instruction
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to work with department colleagues to improve student outcomes
• Willingness to accept responsibility for student learning and progress
• Ability to withstand the strain of teaching
• Regular and punctual attendance is essential to the position

This position is classified as Exempt Employment is contingent upon disclosure in accordance with PA-189. Ability to withstand the strains and successfully manage the responsibilities of the position. Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality, with a strong record of consistent attendance. All staff members are expected to maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward one another at all times. Two weeks paid parental leave.

Selected candidates will be required to have a district paid fingerprint criminal history check processed through the Michigan State Police and FBI.
