EMC Technician

We are looking for an EMC Technician for our testing Laboratory located in Madison Heights MI with a background in electromagnetic compatibility, radio frequency, and electrical testing activities.

Reporting to the EMC Technical Manager, the candidate will be responsible for preparing all technical documentation and test equipment prior to testing activities, while leading test engineers and technicians to ensure efficient project execution and high-quality results.

• Perform EMC testing on a variety of products and write reports with results of testing
• Interface with customers to provide a positive experience
• Support teammates to provide for continued improvement in processes
• Perform at a level of excellence that represents yourself, your team, and the company with pride
• Work within the controls and constraints of an ISO 17025 Quality System
• Test equipment / method development and evaluation
• Up to 5 years of experience working in the automotive Industry
• Experience with RF test system and measurement equipment
• Experience with EMC and Electrical laboratory test equipment (EMI receiver, VNA, RF amplifiers, RF signal generators, digital scopes, etc.)
• Knowledge of EMC and Electrical test standards is a Plus
• Interaction with customers for technical project definition and test resources coordination
• Strong attitude for teamwork and attitude to precision
