ND Defense LLC is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support our engineering team. This role offers hands‑on exposure to defense manufacturing processes, data analysis, and commercial tools that drive business development. The intern will contribute meaningfully to active projects while developing practical skills in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. This position is supervised by the Systems Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities Engineering Support- Assist engineering team members with design, documentation, and project coordination tasks
- Support development and maintenance of engineering documentation, BOMs, and technical specifications
- Participate in design reviews, process improvement initiatives, and cross‑functional project teams
- Conduct research and compile data to inform engineering decisions
- Build and maintain Hub Spot reports and dashboards to support sales and business development activities, including the Combination Usage Report
- Develop and maintain ND Defense Sales Sheets:
- Create professional, accurate sales sheets for current product and service offerings
- Analyze combination usage data to identify and recommend standard offering configurations that should be formalized into sales materials
- Collaborate with engineering and sales stakeholders to ensure sales content reflects current capabilities and technical accuracy
- Assist in tracking and organizing customer‑facing materials within Hub Spot
- Attend and contribute to team meetings; document action items and follow‑ups as assigned
- Support special projects at the direction of the engineering manager or senior leadership
- Maintain organized records and project files in accordance with company standards
- Recent graduate or senior‑year student of a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Hub Spot or other CRM platforms a plus
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical content for non‑technical audiences
- Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Interest in defense, manufacturing, or government contracting industries preferred
- Meaningful, project‑based work with real business impact
- Mentorship from experienced engineering and operations professionals
- Exposure to defense manufacturing across vehicle, maritime, aerospace, and electronics sectors
