• Establishes and leverages external networks and partnerships (research/suppliers/OEM/boards/industry); communicates and meets with customers at their facilities to translate/identify new opportunities
• Develops and manages key innovation/application development programs and special projects; understands latest technologies and impacts to Strategic Business Units and customers and conducts competitive benchmarking studies to assess ability to win and innovation opportunities
• Leads bonding and gasketing recommendations, technical customer visits, internal and external demonstrations and trainings, customer trouble‑shooting activities, problem solving for strategic initiatives, breakthrough technologies
• Conducts manufacturing excellence surveys to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities
• Performs hands‑on activities such as surface preparation and adhesive product application (manual and robotic), bonding and gasketing testing, oversees technician laboratory experimental work and studies, and writes reports; supports the sales engineers and Key account managers during trials and troubleshooting at customer site
• Traveling of up to 20-50% is required for that role
