This role owns company-wide recruiting from requisition through offer, manages the new hire onboarding process, administers the performance management platform, and leads employee appreciation and recognition programs.

The role requires strong time management and organizational skills, attention to detail, comfort working across multiple sites and functions, employee customer service focus, and hands‑on proficiency with ADP recruiting and performance management systems. Professional presentation and communications (written and verbal) is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full‑cycle recruiting for all open requisitions across ND Defense sites, from intake with hiring managers through offer and acceptance.
  • Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for candidates using ADP Recruiting (ATS) and other sourcing channels.
  • Partner with hiring managers to build accurate job requisitions, interview panels, and evaluation criteria.
  • Track requisition status, pipeline health, and time‑to‑fill, and report progress to the VP of HR.
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment law and, where relevant, defense industry hiring considerations (e.g., ITAR/export control screening coordination with the appropriate compliance function).
Onboarding
  • Own the end‑to‑end new hire onboarding process for all sites, including offer paperwork, new hire orientation coordination, and first‑week logistics.
  • Maintain onboarding checklists and documentation to ensure a consistent experience across Madison Heights, West Point, and any future sites.
  • Coordinate with IT, facilities, and site leadership to ensure new hires have equipment, access, and training scheduled before day one.
Performance Management Platform Administration
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the ADP Performance Platform, including cycle setup, user access, and troubleshooting.
  • Support managers and employees with platform navigation and deadline reminders during review cycles.
  • Compile performance cycle completion data and flag gaps to the VP of HR.
Employee Appreciation and Recognition
  • Plan and execute company‑wide employee appreciation programs and events across all sites.
  • Administer recognition programs (e.g., service anniversaries, spot awards) and coordinate site‑level participation.
  • Partner with site leadership to ensure recognition efforts feel consistent company‑wide while respecting site‑specific culture.
General HR Support
  • Function as part of the corporate HR team supporting all company sites, working closely with the Corporate HR Manager, Payroll/Benefits Manager, and site‑level HR staff.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policy and data handling practices.
  • Assist with other HR initiatives and special projects as directed by the VP of HR.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of combined recruiting and/or HR generalist experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of dedicated recruiting experience (full‑cycle, including sourcing and offer management) utilizing an ATS.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR generalist functions: onboarding, employee records, basic compliance, and employee relations support.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple open requisitions and HR initiatives simultaneously across sites.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with hiring managers, employees, and site leadership.
  • Ability to travel occasionally between Madison Heights, MI and West Point, MS as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ADP Recruiting/ATS strongly preferred.
  • Experience with the ADP Performance Platform is a plus.
  • Experience recruiting for manufacturing, defense, or another regulated industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • PHR, SHRM‑CP, or similar HR certification is a plus.
