Our company is seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting and welding aluminum parts in the manufacturing of transit shelters. Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements.
- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to join, fabricate, and repair metal parts and structures.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform welding in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions as needed.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in proper working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Perform related tasks such as grinding, cutting, and finishing metal surfaces.
- Assist in other production duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in welding preferred.
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder or similar welding role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of TIG welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
- AWS certification preferred.
- Familiarity with other welding methods, MIG is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Safety-focused mindset and ability to follow established procedures.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production facility with exposure to heat, noise, and welding equipment.
- Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmet, gloves, and safety glasses.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and manual dexterity required.
- Visual acuity to inspect welds and ensure quality standards.
