Job Summary
Responsible for preparing garments, running machines, cleaning and trimming, and packaging.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Cleans, irons, packages, and prepares clothing for delivery to customers.
- Communicates with supervisor on a continual basis regarding production and schedule.
- Prepares, loads, and unloads garments on and off the equipment.
- Sets up art files and operates embroidery equipment.
- Assists in other areas of business as needed.
Nature and Scope
- Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
- Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

Work Environment
- Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
- Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate to heavy weight (8-40 pounds).
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience with operating heat press and/or embroidery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare and produce apparel and other products according to customer specifications.
- Review work orders carefully to ensure correct garments, designs, quantities, sizes, color, and placement.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the production process.
- Organize and prioritize orders based on deadlines and production schedule.
- Monitor open orders and ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
- Inspect finished products for quality.
- Identify and communicate errors or issues before order is completed.
- Keep production area clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Assist with other production duties as needed.
