Description Summary

Support and enhance the Quality Department by maintaining, improving, and ensuring compliance of quality documentation, records, and quality management systems. This role works closely with Supplier Quality Engineers and other quality team members to manage document control, corrective action tracking, audit documentation, and compliance records. The Quality Technician ensures accuracy, organization, and consistency in all quality-related documentation while supporting audits, supplier quality activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and records.
  • Manage document control processes including document creation, revision control, approvals, distribution, and archival.
  • Support Supplier Quality Engineers by tracking corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), supplier corrective actions, and audit findings.
  • Maintain supplier quality records including certifications, audit reports, and performance documentation.
  • Ensure quality procedures, work instructions, forms, and templates are current, accurate, and properly controlled.
  • Compile quality data and prepare reports for internal audits, external audits, and management reviews.
  • Assist in preparing quality documentation for customer submissions, audits, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain calibration, inspection, testing, and quality records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all quality records are stored, retained, and accessible according to document retention policies.
  • Participate in internal audits and support audit preparation activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the QMS and assist with implementation.
  • Provide guidance to team members on document control and quality documentation procedures.
Position Requirements

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • Associate’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field preferred
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Document Control, or Quality Systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems preferred
  • Experience supporting audits, corrective actions, and document control processes strongly preferred
Knowledge Areas
  • Quality Management Systems – Understanding of ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards and quality system structure
  • Document Control – Managing document revisions, approvals, distribution, and record retention
  • Manufacturing Environment – Familiarity with production processes, inspection records, and supplier quality documentation
  • Corrective Actions – Tracking and maintaining CAPA and supplier corrective action documentation
  • Computer Systems – Microsoft Office, databases, and electronic document management systems

Knowledge: gained through college education proven by their diploma, learned through applicable company trainings proven with training completion certificates

Basic Skill Requirements: documented in employee’s resume, proven by their acquisition of a college degree

Full-Time

Salary $50,000 - $57,000
