Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support daily laboratory operations by performing routine technical procedures, preparing solutions and reagents, maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, and accurately documenting experimental data. This role requires a strong commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting scientific and laboratory activities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare routine laboratory solutions, reagents, and reaction mixtures.
- Perform routine laboratory procedures and technical experiments.
- Make and accurately record observations, calculations, and experimental data.
- Collect, organize, and prepare data for evaluation.
- Maintain laboratory supplies by stocking, organizing, and distributing materials and equipment.
- Set up, dismantle, clean, and maintain laboratory apparatus.
- Collect, wash, sterilize, and store laboratory glassware and equipment.
- Complete technical documentation and maintain records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality standards by following established laboratory protocols and safety guidelines.
- Analyze compounds and assist with management of laboratory or corporate compound collections, as needed.
- Perform additional laboratory support activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with significant laboratory experience or an Associate degree in a scientific discipline.
- Ability to operate standard laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to interpret observations and develop technical hypotheses.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
